As you know PolygonPat has finally made it into the school classroom and seeing that everyone is sitting down you will be able to say hello to some of PolygonPats' mates shortly. | If you remember it is a PolyDressup Day challenge today. Seeing that a teacher's life is full of ups and downs just like yours, all the kids at PolygonPat's school last year decided to hold a PolyTeacher Dressup Day challenge at the same time as their own. To remember the Dressup Day as an annual event the children in my class were asked to do an abstract geometric design that best described me. The best design was to be chosen to be made into a poster to publicise the event for next year. You have seen the poster of me from last year. This year I have asked the children to do a design of our PolySchool Library teacher, Branching Bookitus instead of me. Remember, teachers come in all shapes and sizes just like you. So the first thing I want you to do this morning is to make your teacher's day a bright and colourful one by doing a fantastic poster of your teacher. You can do this by colouring in the various triangles that you will find by clicking onto the 'poster of your teacher link'. You have two grid sizes to choose from. But, before you start, and while you are getting organised I will tell you the story of how some of my class went about doing this exercise, especially PolygonPat's class mates. Then after recess it's off to the Library. Once in the Library you will find biographies of some of PolygonPat's class mates which you can read. Furthermore, you can take part in any of the other activities that Branching Bookitus might have in store for you. |
